From there, continue to Thingvellir National Park, located on the shores of Iceland’s largest natural lake, Thingvallavatn. Recognized for its geological and historical importance, Thingvellir was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004. Thereafter, proceed to the geothermal area where the famous geysers Geysir and Strokkur are located with Strokkur erupting every few minutes, creating a spectacular sight. Later, continue to one of Iceland’s most breathtaking natural wonders, Gullfoss (Golden Waterfall), which plunges 32 meters in two dramatic tiers.
